The Role
As an Account Executive I, you’ll be the driving force behind expanding Dockwa’s network of marinas and increasing revenue through the entire sales cycle—from prospecting and qualification to product demonstrations and deal closing. You will be on the front lines, capturing critical market feedback that shapes our product roadmap and marketing strategies. This role is integral to ensuring Dockwa’s continued success and innovation in the marina space.
What You Will Do:
- Lead Management & Prospecting
- Conduct outbound sales efforts (calls, emails, video meetings, in-person visits) to engage potential marina partners.
- Research and prioritize marina prospects within the CRM, identifying those that align with our ideal customer profile.
- Consultative Selling & Qualification
- Qualify leads through comprehensive discovery, understanding each marina’s goals, challenges, and processes.
- Conduct product demonstrations tailored to each prospect’s unique needs, clearly articulating Dockwa’s value proposition and return on investment.
- Deal Negotiation & Closing
- Present proposals and lead pricing discussions, ensuring deals are structured to benefit both the client and Dockwa.
- Overcome objections by showcasing ROI, aligning stakeholders, and managing contracts through to close.
- Relationship Building & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at marinas.
- Collaborate with Customer Success and Implementation teams for seamless handoffs that set marinas up for long-term success.
- CRM Management & Forecasting
- Accurately forecast revenue and maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline.
- Keep CRM data clean, documenting prospect information and market insights to inform future product or marketing initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement
- Gather and synthesize market feedback, relaying it to Product and Marketing teams to refine offerings and strategies.
- Maintain a high level of organization, ensuring smooth transitions for customers throughout the sales process.

Qualifications:
- 2+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology environment.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Proficiency with CRM tools for lead management and forecasting.
- Strong negotiation and objection-handling skills, with the ability to tailor deals within established guardrails.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to conduct persuasive product demonstrations.
- Familiarity with consultative selling methodologies and a solid understanding of the customer persona (in this case, marinas)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is a plus.
As an Account Executive, you’ll gain exposure to various facets of the organization, including Product, Marketing, and Customer Success. Depending on your performance, interests, and skill set, there are clear pathways to roles such as Account Executive 2, Senior Account Executive, Strategic Account Executive, Principal Account Executive, and even sales leadership.
