Position Overview

This position is field-based and reports to the Director of Operational Effectiveness & Commercial Excellence, with a dotted line to the Indirect Markets, Sales & Marketing Directors for each region. The Sales Training Manager will support the Commercial Excellence team to deliver field training for our partners and their in-country sales teams. Focusing on selling excellence, product and clinical knowledge and key account management capabilities. This role will be instrumental in elevating our partners’ sales team’s ability to build strong customer relationships, plan and execute effectively and drive revenue based on value.

Essential Duties

  • Design and implement comprehensive training programs that focus on selling skills specifically value based, key account management, negotiation skills that are market specific with a strong cultural understanding.
  • Work with the Sales & Marketing Directors in each region to identify knowledge gaps and skill development needs for partner sales teams, customizing training content to address those requirements.
  • Develop impactful training materials, presentations, and resources that align with the company's sales goals and objectives, ensuring that content is up-to-date and relevant.
  • Lead engaging workshops and training sessions that focus on enhancing the business acumen and selling capabilities of our sales teams.
  • Teach effective selling techniques, objection handling, and consultative selling approaches that empower our Partner partners sales teams to deliver value-based solutions to our customers.
  • Work closely and cross-functionally with Int’l Sales, Marketing, Medical and Commercial Training to ensure the alignment of training with company-wide objectives and support Int’l training as required.
  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.
  • Ability to travel 50 – 70 % of working time in the field, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Business Administration, Sales, marketing, or field as outlined in the essential duties).
  • 4+ years of experience within the healthcare industry as a field trainer, ideally with Partner sales teams.
  • Proven experience as a business acumen and selling skills trainer or in a similar role within a sales or corporate environment.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts for easy comprehension.
  • Proficiency in utilizing training software, multimedia tools, and interactive learning platforms.
  • An analytical mindset with the capability to derive insights from data.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience within the healthcare industry as a field trainer working with Partner sales teams.
  • Certifications in training, sales, or related fields are a plus.
  • Participation in a field or peer mentorship program.
