Sales Support Analyst
The Sales Support Analyst plays a vital role in supporting the sales team of a Managed Service Provider (MSP) by analyzing client data, generating sales proposals, managing customer relationships, and ensuring seamless coordination between the sales, technical, and operational teams. This role focuses on leveraging technical knowledge and sales expertise to drive efficiency, enhance client satisfaction, and support revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:  

  • Analyze client and sales performance data to identify trends, growth opportunities, and risks.
  • Prepare detailed sales forecasts and performance metrics specific to MSP services (e.g., SLAs, ticket response times)
  • Generate and maintain reports on recurring revenue, project sales, and upsell opportunities.
  • Assist in the preparation of customized IT service proposals and quotes, including pricing for managed services, cloud solutions, and hardware/software.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies in contracts and agreements
  • Manage renewals and upgrades of existing client contracts.
  • Act as the first point of contact for client inquiries related to proposals, contracts, and service agreements
  • Coordinate with technical teams to ensure client requirements are understood and incorporated into solutions.
  • Respond to requests for information or clarifications about MSP services.
  • Streamline sales and client onboarding processes to reduce lead times and improve service delivery.
  • Maintain and update client data in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, ConnectWise)
  • Develop and implement tools or templates for efficient sales operations.
  • Liaise between sales, IT, and operations teams to align client needs with service offerings.
  • Work closely with technical staff to translate technical details into client-friendly language during the sales process.
  • Ensure a smooth handoff from sales to implementation teams post-contract signing.
  • Use and maintain MSP-specific tools, including PSA (Professional Services Automation) and RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) platforms.
  • Train sales staff on effective use of tools like ConnectWise, Autotask, or similar platforms.
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales operations through automation or new technologies.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in sales support or operations within the IT or MSP industry.
  • Familiarity with MSP pricing models, service delivery processes, and ITIL frameworks.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MSP software (e.g., ConnectWise, Autotask).
  • Knowledge of IT services, including cloud solutions, cybersecurity, and managed infrastructure.
