JOB DESCRIPTION

Sales & Relationship Managers serve as the key contact between PIMCO and our various clients including institutional clients, single family offices, private banks and financial advisors. Their objective is to establish and develop distribution relationships within a target market supporting Senior Account Managers in the region.

PIMCO Latin America is seeking to hire a Sales & Relationship Manager to enhance distribution relationships and support growth within Brazil. Position will be based in PIMCO’s São Paulo office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

A sales & relationship manager in the Latin America team is responsible for executing client- specific growth plans reporting to the Head of Brazil Business Development. Responsibilities include:

  • Drive sales by developing, maintaining, and deepening relationships with new and existing clients; influence clients  choices using a consultative sales process and other performance improvement systems.

  • Travel and maintain active presence within territory to conduct one-on-one advisor sales calls, conduct client events, and deliver group presentations, including continuing education/training.

  • Develop relationships with senior individuals within client organizations in order to source opportunities across the suite of PIMCO investment solutions

  • Manage firm resources (e.g., partnering with PIMCO product and portfolio managers) in order to generate new sources of revenue and to expand existing business relationships

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5-8 years of experience with a proven track record of successful selling to financial institutions in Brazil

  • Prior experience in asset management or investment banking is preferred. Experience in dealing with global and complex, multi-faceted organizations

  • Focus on specific, ambitious goals, and demonstrate personal accountability and urgency for achieving results

  • Ability to articulate ideas/strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing to work within the firm’s demanding and highly focused environment

  • Enjoy working collaboratively across a global organization in a team environment

  • Solid knowledge of the investment industry including an understanding of alternatives and fixed income investing

  • A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is preferred. Candidates who are not already charter holders will be encouraged to pursue the CFA designation.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, engineering or related field required.

  • An MBA degree from an accredited, leading business school or university, or other equivalent Advanced Degree as it relates to the position is preferred

  • CGA certification or willingness to pursue within first 6 months of employment

  • Unassailable ethics and integrity

  • Fluent in both Portuguese and English, fluency in Spanish is not required but is a plus
