This is a full time, remote Summer Internship that can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.
Calix is looking for a Sales Project Management Office (PMO) Intern to join our team for the Summer. You will be part of a unique program within the company which provides the opportunity to learn new skills through training and on the job learning.
This opportunity will provide education into Calix and how Sales is enabled so they can confidently sell to prospects and customers. This role will provide exposure to different products, solutions, processes and cross-functional teams all in support of our amazing sales force. We are looking for someone who is passionate about data driven decisions and wants to optimize new ways to enable our sellers.  This is an exciting opportunity for any aspiring Business, Sales or Data Analytics student to come into a high growth, fast-paced environment and get hands-on experience driving process improvements across Sales. The duration of the program is expected to be 90 days. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Work with key internal stakeholders to support strategic sales initiatives
  • Participate in developing automated reports and insights from multiple data sources 
  • Assist with sales efficiency efforts and plans 
  • Research ways to automate knowledge/data transfer to the sales field 
  • Collaborate across multiple organizations on a variety of projects focused on sales expansion and sales process improvements 
  • Assist with a mindset shift of our sellers to make data driven decisions 

Qualifications:

  • Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Computer Sicence, or a related field.
  • Geek out with Data Experience in a role or project requiring analytical problem solving and detailed analysis 
  • Team player Collaborative with strong communication skills 
  • Technology Curious Comfortable with technology and learning new apps and platforms 
  • Project driven – experience leading or participating in a team project and contributing to the structure and organization of the activities 
  • Able to work effectively with a high tolerance for ambiguity and fast changing environments 
  • Microsoft Office software suite experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Microsoft Power BI experience preferred 
  • Salesforce.com or CRM experience preferred 
  • Stable internet connection required 
  • Ability to work for the complete summer break (May - August or June - September).
  • Preference will be given to applicants who are currently in their Junior or Senior year of college.

Compensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education.

There are different ranges applied to specific locations. The average base pay range (or OTE range for sales) in the U.S. for the position is listed below.

San Francisco Bay Area Only:

23.00 - 29.90 USD Hourly

National Major Cities plus, CA, CO, NY Metro area:

20.00 - 26.00 USD Hourly

Regional plus NY:

18.00 - 23.40 USD Hourly
