We are looking for a Sales Planning Manager to lead our demand planning transformation globally. In this role, you will drive forecast accuracy, embed best practices, and foster collaboration across regions and functions. Leading your team of 5-10, you work will ensure consistency and effectiveness across business units, playing a vital role in optimizing performance through innovative and data driven planning. 

 

Reporting to our Global Director, Supply Chain Planning & Fulfillment, this hybrid role can be based in the United Kingdom, Denmark or at our global headquarters in Espoo, Finland. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO  

 

  • Lead Transformation: Establish best practices for global demand planning processes, ensuring alignment across business units and strategic objectives 

  • Drive Forecast Accuracy: Improve forecasting strategies and minimize bias to achieve data-driven, SKU-level accuracy across global and regional markets 

  • Facilitate S&OP/IBP Processes: Oversee the demand planning component of the S&OP/IBP process, driving cross-functional alignment with supply, financial, and operational plans 

  • Analyze & Optimize: Leverage historical data, market trends, and customer insights to deliver actionable forecasts that adapt to changing conditions 

  • Enhance KPIs: Develop and monitor key performance indicators to measure forecast accuracy and planning effectiveness, providing insights to senior leadership 

  • Lead and Develop Teams: Manage and mentor global and regional demand planners, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth 

  • Champion Innovation: Identify opportunities to enhance demand planning through advanced tools, analytics, and continuous process improvement 

 

WHO YOU ARE 

 

  • Education and Expertise: A Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field, with 7 to 10 years of experience in global demand planning or related roles, ideally within the consumer goods or lifestyle industry 

  • Proven Success: A track record of improving forecast accuracy, driving process improvements, and leading S&OP/IBP processes in global organizations 

  • Analytical Excellence: Expertise in demand forecasting, statistical modelling, and market trend analysis, with proficiency in advanced tools like SAP IBP, Kinaxis, Oracle, and analytics platforms such as Excel, SQL, or Python 

  • Leadership Skills: Exceptional  communication and team management skills, with experience mentoring teams and influencing stakeholders across all levels 

  • Certifications: APICS certifications (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent are highly desirable
