Job Description
- Title: Sales Operations Specialist
- Compensation: $55,000 - $60,000

About the Role
As a Sales Operations Associate, you'll be the cornerstone of our sales team's efficiency and effectiveness. You'll act as the central point of communication between our sales team and key departments such as event delivery operations, product, finance, billing, and editorial. Your role is crucial in optimizing sales processes, ensuring data accuracy, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities
CRM and Data Management
- Own Salesforce CRM for assigned business portfolios, ensuring accuracy in reporting, forecasting, and account/opportunity management
- Maintain data integrity across multiple systems (Salesforce, Excel, Oracle, SAP, Intacct)
- Manage event, sponsorship, subscription, and digital media inventory
Process Optimization and Support
- Identify and implement improved sales processes
- Document and record evolving sales enablement processes
- Support onboarding and ongoing training for sales representatives
- Assist in executing contracts, RFPs, and partnership agreements
Reporting and Analysis
- Perform sales analysis and provide management with cost/risk analysis and trend data
- Support optimal sales reporting, KPI tracking, and analytics
- Contribute to forecasting and business planning initiatives
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with sales reps, management, and other key stakeholders
- Facilitate process compliance through support and reporting
- Assist in ensuring overall client satisfaction, customer retention, and increased spend
Business Understanding and Innovation
- Develop a deep understanding of event, subscription, media, and other process workflows
- Contribute to shaping the evolving business by identifying process improvements
- Support change management initiatives and new business ventures
Problem-Solving and Communication
- Identify issues, investigate root causes, and support a solution-oriented environment
- Effectively communicate with various teams and stakeholders
- Assist in resolving complex queries related to international client compliance, contract/legal compliance, and billing/AR inquiries

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in sales operations, sales enablement, or related roles
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume sales environment preferred
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proven track record in customer-focused, revenue-generating environments
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative team player with a proactive, growth-oriented mindset
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Working knowledge of Salesforce and sales processes (preferred)
