As a dynamic Sales Manager, you will partner closely with the Site General Manager to drive operational excellence, profitability, and business growth. Your focus will be on expanding our customer base, nurturing existing relationships, and increasing sales across a designated group of warehouses. You will lead sales initiatives and strategically build on the company's market presence. Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Collaborate with the General Manager to craft and implement strategic sales action plans aimed at generating new leads and expanding the client base in the market.
- Customer Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with local and global customers, providing exceptional service and support while identifying new sales opportunities to meet their evolving needs.
- Proposal & Presentation Excellence: Develop compelling proposals and deliver Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, showcasing our services and solutions to address customer challenges and secure new business.
- Collaborative Selling: Work seamlessly with Sales Managers and the Global Account team to sell a comprehensive suite of services across the Lineage network, maximizing cross-selling opportunities.
- Financial Management: Ensure the timely collection of accounts receivable and maintain accurate pricing, sales, and activity reports, with a focus on achieving optimal profit margins.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), providing Senior Management with regular updates on sales performance and progress toward objectives.
- Budget Oversight: Manage the sales budget and control expenses, ensuring adherence to financial targets and guidelines.
- Operational Collaboration: Partner with the General Manager and leadership team to optimize operational efficiencies, driving continuous improvement in the sales function and broader operational processes.
Minimum Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in sales or sales management, including a proven track record in Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), prospecting, and closing new business.
- Sales Expertise: Deep understanding of the company’s full suite of services and the ability to leverage that knowledge to create tailored customer solutions and maximize sales.
- Analytical Skills: Strong math skills and the ability to analyze data, pricing, and reports to ensure profitability.
- Communication Excellence: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders and present technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities to navigate complex challenges and drive results.
- Travel & Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time and work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed.
- Physical Requirements: Comfortable working in varying temperature conditions, including cold storage environments as low as -20°F (-25°C) and dry storage environments up to 100°F (37°C), while wearing required PPE and freezer gear. Must be adaptable to varying noise levels in the warehouse environment.
