Based out of Schaumburg, the Sales Manager is focused on leading a team of business development representatives, monitoring day-to-day operations, sales strategy and employee development. The Sales Manager will be expected to produce targeted month over month growth and act as an advocate and liaison for both their team and the management group.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Ensure that each team member understands the primary functions of Fastmore software

Develop reps industry knowledge and overall sales strategy

Meet and exceed monthly GP and NBA goals

Lead weekly coaching meetings
-
Develop lead generation ideas and strategies with each member
-
Monitor sales pipelines to ensure proper lead management
-
Speak with top customers to improve customer retention
-
Assist reps in creating a career path
-
Discuss motivational methods and tactics that will motivate individual reps
-
Create organizational plans for each rep to ensure they are managing time efficiently
-
Attend weekly management meetings, prepared to discuss successes and concerns
-
Act as a liaison between reps and management, escalating any issues that arise
-
Manage the cycle of the teams shipments, from ordered to final
-
Ensure that customers are receiving client statements and invoices in a timely manner
Skills & Qualifications:
-
3-5 years of logistics industry experience
-
2 - 3 years Sales Management experience
-
1-2 years of freight forwarding, general understanding of the freight forwarding world of Transportation (Truck Load, LTL, Small Parcel, Air/Ocean)

Strong understanding of industry terminology, methods and procedures
-
Track record and history of meeting and exceeding sales goals

Experience managing customer relationships

Strong leadership characteristics
-
Proven “take charge” performer who is successful at multi-tasking

Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong ability in personal interactions

Very organized and detail-oriented

This job operates in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties.
