After the 12 month internship is completed, the successful graduate will be able to apply for a sales position at any Finning branch. As part of Finning International Inc. you will be part of a global sales force with limitless opportunities to succeed and progress.
The Sales Intern will be responsible for increasing customer loyalty, assisting the outside sales team with processes, quoting and support. This internship will be focused on general line equipment, general construction product, product support and rentals.

Job Description:

  • Research, identify, qualify and prospect new opportunities within existing customer groups.
  • Assist the branch sales force with demos, job studies, walk-ins, open houses, trade shows and research related to sales and paperwork.
  • Work closely with the sales team and perform coverage when needed.
  • Complete the Finning sales internship program and other Caterpillar courses.
  • Assist in the preparation of sales and service quotations.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Post-secondary education in marketing or sales is an asset. If you have a strong work ethic and some work experience this will be considered as well.
  • Industry knowledge, Caterpillar or competitive product knowledge will be considered assets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Previous sales experience will be considered an asset.

Note:

  • A recent driver's abstract is required.
  • Position will begin June 2025.
  • Monday to Friday, day shift.
  • Permanent, full-time position.

  • Some travel may be required.
