Sales Engineering Intern, Summer 2025

The Sales Intern will help streamline opportunity tracking tools, assist in lead generation, and collaborate with applications teams to drive revenue growth. This role is perfect for technical problem-solvers eager to develop business acumen in a cutting-edge mechanical and electrical engineering environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the Business Development team with the following:
    • Customer incoming RFQ design/documentation reviews
    • Supporting the preparation of Quote proposals and Customer presentations.
    • Quote tracking and alignment of product shipments to trigger invoicing
  • Help in developing Business Development tools
    • Combine and streamline multiple internal opportunity trackers into a unified and useful tracking tool that is capable of sorting multiple buckets and displaying the project revenue potential value based on weighted value against the opportunity likelihood.  
    • Conduct market research to identify potential customers, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Development, Application Engineering, and Product Development to execute our strategy and increase revenue.
  • Assist in generating and qualifying leads through outreach activities and networking.
  • Assist in maintaining relationships with existing customers by supporting communication and attending customer meetings
  • Assist in administrative tasks and project coordination as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Independent problem solver who desires to learn new skills and develop new technology.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Able to adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced start-up setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

 

Educational Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time academic program at an accredited college or university pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

Working Conditions/Hours/Location 

This role is an hourly position, and the intern will be required to work at least 20-25 hours per week during the summer. The start date and duration of the internship are flexible depending on availability, with a minimum commitment of 8 weeks.

The internship will take place 100% onsite in Wixom, MI. 48393

Physical Demands – Office and Manufacturing Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and pull/push; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment – 

Includes both a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues, and a shop environment, with exposure to high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, nuisance dust, and skin exposure to chemicals used to run/maintain machines.

PPE-

May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes, bump-caps, gloves, hair nets, masks, & clean-room frocks while adhering to the prescribed safety procedures.

The base pay is just one part of CelLink's total compensation package and is determined within a range. The pay range is designed to support your career progression as you learn, grow, and develop within your role. Your base pay range will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
