About the role

  • Why Sales Development Matters at Hex: as a highly technical product with a complex GTM motion combining elements of PLG and SLG, our SDR function will serve as a critical connection point between PLG, Marketing and Revenue. We need a strong leader to build the foundational programs and systems that will define how our SDR function operates and scales over the next 2-3 years.
  • The SDR Manager role is a cornerstone in Hex's ambitious growth trajectory. As the first leader of this team, you'll be entrusted with laying a robust foundation for scalability. Your role will go beyond traditional management; it involves shaping the long-term direction of our sales development function. Through your leadership, Hex will not only expand its market reach but also redefine industry standards by leveraging AI and automation technologies in sales processes.
  • This role is based in our SF office (hybrid 2-3 days a week) 

What you will do

  • Focus Areas:
    • Building and leading a high-performing SDR team.
    • Developing and refining sales strategies, incorporating AI and automation tools.
    • Establishing scalable sales processes and best practices for long-term success.
    • Fostering an innovative culture, encouraging creative approaches to sales development.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Architect and implement scalable strategies for the SDR team to ensure consistent pipeline growth and revenue.
    • Spearhead the integration of AI and automation tools to optimize sales processes and efficiency.
    • Define, track, and analyze key performance metrics to continually refine sales tactics
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive training program for SDRs, ensuring continuous skill enhancement.

Who you might be

Ideal Requirements: 

  • Proven experience in sales development leadership, preferably in the SaaS data ecosystem.
  • Operated in a full-time management role with a team size of at least 7 individual contributors
  • Familiarity with AI and automation tools and their application in sales processes.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and inform strategy decisions.
  • Exceptional leadership qualities with a track record of building successful teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to inspire and motivate

The salary band for this role is: $190,000 - $220,000. 
The salary range shown may be a reflection of additional factors such as geographical location and skill ranges/levels we’re open to. Placement in the salary range will be decided upon completion of the interview process, taking into account factors like leaving room for growth, internal fairness & parity, your demonstrated skills, and the depth of your experience. Our Recruiting team will be able to provide more details during the interview process.
