Job Summary 🧾
We’re looking for strategic thinkers that can handle the day-to-day activities while planning for the future. Data-based decisions and expectations management are also on our mind.
As a Sales Engineer you will play an important role by building the future and present with GTM, by providing technical knowledge, designing and delivering solutions, demonstrating Agents and consulting on technical aspects of opportunities.
What are the activities of the Sales Engineer?
Your Mission
- Design and deliver compelling demos of Yalo’s solutions, showcasing how our technology solves complex business challenges.
- Provide technical guidance to prospects, explaining Yalo’s value proposition in both technical and business terms.
- Lead technical discussions, addressing questions around architecture, integration, and security to accelerate the sales cycle.
- Experience working with the following solutions SaaS, CPAAS and CCAAS.
- You have great listening skills, being able to quickly identify clients’ pain points.
Responsibilities 🧠
- Work closely with Sales, Product, Marketing and Engineering teams to align solutions with customer needs.
- Influence Yalo’s product roadmap by bringing customer insights to the engineering team.
- You take proactive and creative approach to attend to clients’ needs (even if they are sometimes not aware of those needs).
- Act as a trusted technical advisor for enterprise customers, guiding them from early-stage discovery to solution implementation.
- Partner with customers to design and propose architecture solutions that maximize value and scalability.
- Support post-sales handovers, ensuring a smooth transition to implementation teams.
Ideal Candidate
- 4+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or a customer-facing technical sales role.
- Experience delivering high-impact demos and working closely with enterprise customers.
- Ability to build strong relationships with C-level executives, business leaders, and technical stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of APIs, system integrations, and technical architectures.
- Ability to translate complex technical solutions into business value for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in enterprise sales cycles, particularly in SaaS or AI-driven solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Nice to have
- Experience in AI, conversational AI, or automation technologies.
- Background in designing or implementing WhatsApp-based commerce solutions.
- Experience working with emerging markets and global enterprise brands.
- Experience understanding technical and business value about SaaS Apps, Conversational Workflows or a similar leading, CRM or ERP application is preferred

Yalo helps businesses offer a delightful customer experience on their customers' favorite apps – Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and WeChat. Every business on Yalo has a virtual assistant with an optimized flow that handles customer requests to the point of payment and fulfillment. If at any point the customer need is beyond what the chatflow is capable of doing, the request gets seamlessly transferred to a human agent to provide resolution. Through the Yalo platform, businesses get an artificial intelligence powered CRM that allows them to handle sales and build personal relationships, at scale, on Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and WeChat.
Yalo uses deep learning (a machine learning technique) to have chatbots learn from their human counterparts to continuously improve the experience. The team behind Yalo is composed of Columbia University and Salamanca engineers, former PayPal technical leads, and is supported by a group of investors from New York, Mexico and Latin America.
