This position is a technical role supporting the sales activities of our New Business & Customer Development sales team as well as supporting our channel partners. The role is based in the Hilversum office, Netherlands, working on a hybrid basis.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic professional with in-depth technical abilities as well as a commercial acumen and sales skills. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a background in pre-sales or an experienced IT professional with strong communication skills looking to move to a more customer facing role. Provide technical advice and support to sales opportunities by engaging with technical contacts within customer and reseller partner organizations. Ensure the Mimecast service is positioned correctly, understood by customers and any technical objections are overcome.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with our Sales Account Executives throughout the entire sales cycle, from initial technical qualification, product demonstrations to complex deal negotiations and ensuring the technical win.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor, possessing a deep understanding of our solutions and their application to specific customer challenges.
- Develop and deliver impactful technical presentations and demonstrations tailored to the unique needs of customers and partners.
- Take ownership of the technical engagement in sales opportunities, lead POCs and Proof of Value with prospective customers to align to their success criteria.
- Manage and coordinate RFP/RFI and tender responses for accounts, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and maximizing win rates.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams (engineering, product, customer success) to ensure seamless solution implementation and ongoing customer satisfaction.
- Mitigate technical risk associated with sales engagements to improve close ratios
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build brand awareness and generate qualified leads for the pipeline.
- Train partners and develop close working relationships with various technical staff in the reseller partner organization.
- Interface with product management, marketing, business development and training to help ensure Mimecast solutions are meeting the needs of customers and prospects.
- Provide feedback on product features, functionality, marketing positioning and competitive differentiation.
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience in a technical and/or sales engineering role, ideally also with large accounts.
- Demonstrated expertise in cyber security and its specific challenges and solutions ideally in a SaaS environment
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate technical solutions to a business focused audience effectively
- Experience in consultative selling of complex services
- Ability to be proactive and self-sufficient
- Flexible approach and willingness to learn new skills and disciplines
- Ability to work with and gain input utilizing resources from multiple teams and disciplines
- Security Certification a plus (i.e. CISSP, CSCP etc.)
