THE OPPORTUNITY
The Sales Engineer plays a critical role in bridging the gap between our technical teams and our customers. This position involves leveraging both engineering expertise and sales acumen to understand customer requirements, articulate how our products and solutions can address their challenges, and ultimately drive sales growth.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering compelling presentations and demonstrations that highlight the technical advantages of our offerings, while also addressing customer questions and concerns with confidence. You will work closely with the sales team to develop strategies that align with client needs and ensure a smooth transition from the sales process to implementation.
As a Sales Engineer, you will be instrumental in building relationships with clients, understanding their business objectives, and providing tailored solutions that deliver value. Your insights and feedback will also be valuable in shaping product development and product marketing strategies, as you gather information on market trends and customer preferences.

We are looking for a candidate who is not only technically proficient but also possesses strong interpersonal skills and a passion for helping customers succeed, with strong writing abilities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Product Execution

  • Executing GTM strategy for key products and product enhancements, participating in launch planning.
  • Perform customer/prospect demonstrations of the key product features and capabilities as needed by sales. (Deeper expert level demonstrations will be done by the Technical Product Manager)
  • Cultivate positive relationships across product managers, customer experience, product marketing, marketing operations, platform technical staff, and leadership to identify and influence impactful opportunities and prioritize efforts.
  • Implement process and workflow that refines and creates efficiencies in our day-to-day activities and engagements.
  • Create compelling customer communications to engage customers to become active users, and work with partners to relate any feature changes or upgrades to the product.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on sales calls and coordinate with Product Management to answer intricate customer inquiries.
  • Coordinate with Account Executives to create detailed proposals based on customer pain points and initiatives with how our solutions can address them.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive products, and new technologies to effectively position our solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Assist in training customers on product use and best practices.
  • Lead complex implementations of customers over a certain revenue threshold.
  • Identify opportunities with existing customers to grow and upsell content.
  • Participate in trade shows and industry events to promote products and network with potential clients.

Collaboration

  • Work with product marketing, to ensure the value proposition and messaging of platform offerings represents needs of our customers
  • Obtain stakeholder alignment for compelling positioning and messaging by segment and persona to tailor experiences across all touchpoints with a solid go-to-market, engagement, and retention strategy in mind
  • Partner with the Marketing Operations team to develop an integrated content plan that drives active users, sales pipeline, and renewals.
  • Contribute to strategic discussion on product roadmap, product training, marketing initiatives, collateral concepts, internal processes, and sales tools.

Content

  • Define, curate or draft the content required to target various personas at each stage of the funnel, ensuring the customer need and product is always represented in every customer experience.
  • Develop use cases by persona and segment for use in training sellers and for use on the website and platform.
  • Develop a comprehensive sales enablement toolkit to empower both Account Executives and Inside Sales to exceed revenue targets. You’ll define sales toolkit content that directly impacts annual recurring revenue and Active Users goals.

WHO YOU ARE

  • You are an experienced sales engineer with experience in the semiconductor or related hardware field.
  • You have a background in turning complex, technical content into impactful stories
  • Demonstrated fundamental understanding of marketing and sales processes
  • Driving the revenue growth of syndicated content through subscriptions and increased active users in B2B engagements
  • You are confident in producing successful go-to-market strategies, have strong written and oral communications skills, and can think from a customer’s point of view while considering the needs of the business
  • The ability to collaborate and confidently mediate across teams and subject matter, on all levels of understanding and seniority
  • The desire to create compelling content, analysis, presentation materials, mock-ups, and enablement tools quickly and efficiently.
  • An understanding of semiconductor technology would be considered an incredible asset, however curiosity and the drive to quickly learn technical subject matter to create segment and persona content will provide you with the tools to be successful in this role
