Job Overview:
The Sales Engineer plays a pivotal role in supporting the sales and implementation processes by addressing technical and clinical inquiries for the consultant vertical. This position collaborates closely with the Vice President of Sales and Business Development Executives to ensure seamless client engagement and successful
implementation of solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Process Support:
- Serve as the technical and clinical subject matter expert (SME) during the sales cycle.
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs and present tailored solutions.
- Develop and deliver presentations, demonstrations, and technical deep-dives for prospective clients.
- Respond to RFPs and RFIs with detailed and accurate technical and clinical information.
- Client Implementation Support:
- Act as the primary technical liaison between clients and internal teams during the implementation phase.
- Partner with project managers to ensure client requirements are fully understood and executed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during onboarding and implementation.
- Coordinate with clinical teams to align solutions with regulatory and compliance standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with product development, engineering, and clinical teams to stay updated on solution capabilities and updates.
- Provide feedback from clients to internal teams for continuous improvement of products and services.
- Support marketing initiatives by contributing technical content for collateral, webinars, and events.
- Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, clients, and key stakeholders.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the client experience and drive additional value.
- Provide ongoing technical support post-implementation to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer/Technical Account Manager or similar role, preferably in healthcare or consulting.
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows, healthcare technologies, and sales processes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience working with CRM tools and project management software.
- Ability to travel as required (up to 30%).
