The Enablement team at Grubhub is on the look out for someone with a proactive mindset and experience in either sales, operations, account management or training, who will work diligently to onboard, train and upskill our sales reps and managers in our Merchant Network Sales arm of the business.
Given the nature of the role, this person should enjoy leading a physical (or digital) room and exude a training presence while also possessing the ability to flex and communicate with business leaders. You should be creative yet analytical, confident yet coachable, and comfortable pivoting and adjusting to the different learning styles of our employees.
The Impact You Will Make

  • Lead in-person and remote onboarding and training for our Merchant Network sales new hires.
  • Facilitate ongoing up-skilling for our existing Merchant Network team members.
  • Schedule onboarding programs and related training events for teams
  • Work with Enablement peers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to create new content and transform existing content into an effective in-person and virtual learning experience.
  • Act as a subject matter expert by staying up-to-date on current processes, products, and platforms, as well as sales industry trends
  • Collect feedback from trainees, hiring managers and stakeholders on the effectiveness of the onboarding program and iterate and/or replicate as needed. Additionally, measure results and if needed, make changes to align with business priorities.
  • Create effective content, aligned with instructional design principles to fill knowledge gaps and evaluate efficiency to prove return on time, energy and money investment.


What You Bring To The Table

  • Bachelors preferred or High School diploma/equivalent + relevant work experience
  • Some type of sales or sales adjacent experience: on the floor, making calls, leading a sales or client success team, mentoring sales reps, facilitating sales training programs or experience in operations and/or client services
  • A passion for and experience with training, mentoring and/or teaching adult learners.
  • Ability to apply an analytical viewpoint and critical thinking to identify organization needs. You can back up your message with data and collaborate with your stakeholders and training peers to develop solution(s).
  • Ask thoughtful and curious questions with the intent to improve the experiences of our team members and merchant partners using new / emerging technology and creative tools.
  • Proactive communicator that knows when to leverage your professional communication skills and when to adjust language to casual levels. Written and verbal communication skills will be necessary for sending department-wide email updates, delivering training/facilitating in front of physical (and digital) rooms, and sharing status updates with your stakeholders.
  • Operational skillset where you own your work, take action, apply company/department goals and vision, and build scalable, repeatable processes & training content.
  • Interpretive judgment and the ability to make decisions on how to manage ambiguous situations.
  • Well-organized; able to manage multiple tasks at one time, and balance them based on business priorities - adapting as needed to a high-changing environment.
