As Sales Director, you will be responsible for leading and growing the Panametrics business within a geographic area responsible for selling product(s), services, parts, solutions, and projects. You will be responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy, leading regional sales, aligning with the wider team, and be expected to drive strategic success with profitable order growth. This role will be responsible for leading a team across North America & Canada and will report to the Global Commercial Leader.
As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for:
- Driving directly and through your team the development of new project opportunities for the Panametric customer base promoting Panametrics technologies and initiatives to maximize sales and revenue potential.
- Leading and managing the Regional Sales team towards meeting and exceeding AOP, and Project Margins in assigned regions.
- Providing periodic Sales team skills assessment and feedback via performance reviews
- Supporting the Global Commercial Leader in timely reporting, and continual alignment to short, medium, and long-term strategic objectives.
- Interfacing cohesively with technical counterparts within the organization on business development opportunities.
- Leading, coaching, and retaining key diverse talent, sales strategy, relationship development with a deepened customer focus, and workforce succession planning to provide continual improvement in Sales organization.
- Leveraging strong customer network at influential levels – personal involvement securing outcomes with key deals and customers.
- Building new growth opportunity pipelines and driving growth initiatives (new accounts, new customers) based on market trends, data analysis, and commercial intensity in collaboration with marketing, product management, and technology during business LRP (long-range plan strategy) sessions.
- Providing the sales inputs based on a compelling voice of customer feedback and commercial intelligence to support product differentiation and NPI commercialization.
- Creating a comprehensive strategy for assigned regions, ensuring channel coverage (vs direct) is optimized, and supporting channel sales meetings and visits.
- Coordinating sales force training and product knowledge, driving initiatives to enable our commercial teams to become deep domain pressure experts and best in class in the industry.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a bachelor's degree or equivalent – preferably in science/engineering, business or commercial discipline
- Have experience in managing sales in an industrial domain (high volume, high complexity/mix with lead times from 1 week to 1 year)
- Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and lead local and remote teams with continual engagement.
- Be a proactive, collaborative, and organized leader with proven negotiation skills
- Be a motivated self-starter, proactively taking the initiative to lead and solve problems through good analytical skills.
- Be a results-oriented, self-driven individual with passion, enthusiasm, and energy and the ability to influence with and without authority in a multi-disciplinary, matrixed environment.
