Role Overview:

The Sales Development Representative is responsible for increasing sales, using the communication skills that s/he applies either during phone conversations, e-mail, chat or in face-to-face interactions. S/he will be responsible for finding opportunities, but also for the organization of some introductory meetings / sessions that are taken over later by the colleagues who directly manage the clients' accounts.   

Main Responsibilities:

  • Search for and identify relevant customer information, identify ideal customers, key players and generate interest in order to stimulate a business opportunity. 
  • Actively prospects potential clients through the phone, email campaigns and various outreach techniques in order to further introduce them in the process and establish a meeting.
  • Qualifies and discovers customers to deliver accurate customer profile to sales team to ensure the productivity of the meeting
  • Qualifies inbound leads and assists them with the onboarding process
  • Identifies business opportunities and establishes meetings that are taken over by colleagues who manage customer accounts
  • Redirects identified business opportunities to colleagues who manage the sales process to take over the discussion and close a collaborative relationship
  • Maintains and expands the database with potential clients within the assigned territory
  • Use the company's automated tools to accurately report activity
  • Deals with the forecast of monthly and quarterly results
  • Collects and shares the information gathered from potential customers
  • It ensures that confidential information is collected from potential customers
  • It ensures that confidential information is managed in accordance with internal regulations
  • Performs other tasks or projects from the direct superior.

  • Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities in our target markets (US, Europe, Middle East)
  • Develop and execute outreach strategies, including LinkedIn, cold calling, email campaigns, and networking to generate leads.
  • Leverage CRM tools and platforms to track prospects, sales activities, and pipeline. 

2. Client Relationship Management: 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Understand client needs and propose customized software solutions that align with their business goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client discussions and negotiations. 

3. Sales Strategy and Execution: 

  • Create and adjust our overall lead generation process, including the potential use of AI tools to make this the most scalable sales process.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Present and demonstrate software services, including custom development, integrations, and consulting services.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and RFPs tailored to client requirements.
  • Close deals and ensure smooth handoff to delivery teams for execution. 

4. Market and Competitor Analysis: 

  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, potential markets, and competitive landscape.
  • Monitor competitor activities and use insights to refine value propositions and strategies. 

5. Collaboration and Reporting: 

  • Work closely with internal teams (e.g., delivery, engineering and product teams) to ensure alignment on service offerings and client expectations.
  •  Provide regular updates to leadership on sales activities, progress, and forecasts.  

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must have experience doing outbound BD for Software services in the APAC market.
  • Must have worked in teams doing outbound selling.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of the entire outbound process.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the eCommerce software services or SaaS industry.
  • Solid knowledge of software services such as custom development, SaaS, integrations, cloud services, eCommerce and consulting.
  • Good business acumen and exposure to B2B software services selling.
  • Good understanding of outbound lead generation using LinkedIn.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate and close B2B sales deals.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and handle multiple priorities effectively.   

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI/ML, cloud computing, and experience selling eCommerce technology services.
  • Experience working with startups, SMEs, and enterprise clients.
  • Strong networking skills and a track record of building strategic partnerships.  

Key Performance Indicators (KPI):

  • Achievement of monthly/quarterly sales targets.
  • Number of qualified leads generated.
  • Number of meeting arranged
  • Potential Revenue of opportunities created
  • Conversion rate from leads to clients.
  • Client satisfaction and retention rate.
