The Customer Solutions Engineer is responsible for the support of a successful development and execution of a technical solutions program. This key sales solutions & engineering team member will evidence a track record of measurable sophisticated solutions and engineering experience. A highly organized and motivated professional with ideally strong communication skills across the spectrum of Vantage various teams. Engineering background is essential, experience with data centers is a plus.

Duties

  • Provide active support to internal RFP (request for proposal process) process with Vantage teams (prepare the project specific RFP response spreadsheet/ folder structure / kick off email draft / follow up on the subject matter experts (SMEs) responses).
  • Support the responses / documentation upload to customer portal.
  • Manage the RFP notifications (export from the customer portals / format into Vantage’s response template/ follow up with SMEs / update approved response).
  • Help to develop customer specific presentations.
  • Design proposal templates incorporating Vantage’s latest schematics, diagrams, and features.
  • Develop all technical support for the sales team.
  • Support work with client requirements regarding capacity needs and timing. coordinate those requirements with the capabilities of Vantage.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to Solutions Engineering by building and growing the role to meet the needs of Vantage and its customers.
  • Prepare and deliver technical proposals, design architectural overviews.
  • Support in discussions on detailed network, power, cooling, and space assessment of customer's current and proposed IT environments.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Experience in designing critical infrastructure or Data centers will be a plus.
  • Excellent organization skills including document management.
  • Positive attitude towards assigned tasks.
  • Ability to work in dynamic environment.
  • Excellent power point presentation skills and a feeling for aesthetics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with and present information to the team.
