SUMMARY
This position oversees a team of sales analysts and is responsible for analyzing sales data, identifying trends and providing actionable insights to support strategic decision making. This role ensures that the sales team meets its objectives by providing detailed reports, forecasts, and recommendations while supervising team operations to maintain efficiency and quality.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide leadership and support to a small team of Sales Analysts ensuring they have the necessary resources and guidance to conduct thorough sales analysis and reporting
- Foster an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement in their analytical processes and deliverables
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for various IT-related projects, including the GEM system, serving as the primary point of contact for all technical issues that arise. This includes troubleshooting system errors, collaborating with IT teams to implement solutions, and ensuring that both product functionality and customer experiences are optimized.
- Take responsibility for the management of the sales budget and forecasting processes.
- Develop comprehensive budgets that align with overall business objectives, regularly analyze sales data to provide accurate forecasts, and adjust strategies as needed to meet financial targets.
- Oversee sales territory management with sales leadership team by evaluating sales performance across different regions and adjusting territory assignments to ensure equitable distribution of workload and maximized market coverage.
- Implement tools and strategies that enable the sales team to operate more efficiently in their designated territories.
- Direct the Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) initiatives and ensure that all progress is meticulously reported on a regular basis.
- Analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement, track performance metrics, and recommend actionable strategies to enhance sales processes and outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales team and Sales Analysis Manager by establishing and maintaining direct rapport with key customers
- Attend essential customer meetings to support contract negotiations, address customer concerns, and strengthen relationships, ensuring the company is positioned favorably in fostering long-term partnerships.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics or related field
- Master’s Degree (MBA or related) is a plus
- 8-10 years’ experience in sales analysis, data analytics or a similar role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Detail oriented and results driven
- Proactive and able to take initiative
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across teams
- Experience with CRM software is preferred
- Understanding of financial metrics and sales KPIs
- Demonstrate advanced word processing, spreadsheet, and database application skills (SAP/COPA Webi Reports)
- Results-oriented to ensure deliverables are submitted in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion
- Articulates analysis in a clear and concise manner
- Exhibit the ability, over time, to distill data into meaningful insights and suggestions to improve sales
- Anticipates questions and prepares appropriate responses or answers
- Constructively challenges business partner assumptions and goals
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau or Power BI
- Proficient us of MS Office applications including Word, Excel (Pivot Tables), PowerPoint
