Overview
Record to Report – Junior Accountant will be responsible for supporting Month-End Closing activities. General Ledger Account Reconciliations, Preparation of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports and Variance Analysis.
Responsibilities
Main Roles & Responsibilities:
1.Assist the Accountant to perform Month-End Closing Activities including –
- Fixed Asset Accounting
- Intercompany Accounting
- General Ledger Reconciliations
- Month End Accounts Preparation (including P&L and Balance Sheet reporting pack preparation)
- Accrual preparation
- Bank Reconciliation
- Pre-payment schedule preparation
- Inventory and Purchase Order accrual reconciliations
- Accrued revenue calculation and booking
- Capitalized software calculations and asset creation
- Determination of Deferred costs under US GAAP ASC 606
- Finance lease accounting in accordance with US GAAP ASC 842
- Preparation of variance analysis for monthly calls with Controllership team
- Preparation of a Balance Sheet monthly pack, including reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
2.Preparation of workings for filing GST/VAT returns in local countries
3.Reconciliation of GST/VAT and Payroll taxes payables per local GAAP ledger to US GAAP
4.Develop/update/maintain an exhaustive process documentation/DTP
5.Follows Desktop Procedures and adequate policies and guidelines in place, initiates
6.Desktop Procedures updates whenever required and actively seeks for improvements
7.Ensure delivery of services as defined in the Service Level Agreement (SLA) /KPI’s applicable for the role
8.Drive process efficiency through identification of improvement areas and utilizing industry best practices
9.Assist in pulling together data and back-up documentation for external auditors
Qualifications
Main Requirements:
- Recent graduate or 1/2 years of experience in Finance and Accounting function
- Good attention to detail, strong analytical skills
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills
- Awareness & Knowledge on Financial Accounting, especially US GAAP
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
