Overview
Record to Report – Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for execution of activities such as Month-End closing, in order to prepare Profit & Loss reports, Balance sheets, General Ledger account reconciliations and Variance Analysis. The role will also involve providing guidance on, and review of, work performed by the RTR Accountants.
Responsibilities
1. Perform month-end close activities, including –
- Fixed Asset Accounting
- Intercompany Accounting
- General Ledger Reconciliations
- Month End Accounts Preparation (including P&L and Balance Sheet reporting pack preparation)
- Accrual preparation
- Bank Reconciliation
- Pre-payment schedule preparation
- Inventory and Purchase Order accrual reconciliations
- Accrued revenue calculation and booking
- Capitalized software calculations and asset creation
- Determination of Deferred costs under US GAAP ASC 606
- Finance lease accounting in accordance with US GAAP ASC 842
- Preparation and presentation of variance analysis on monthly calls with Controllership team
- Preparation of a Balance Sheet monthly pack, including all reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
Qualifications
2. Reviewing month-end reporting packs prepared by team members
3. Participation in daily/weekly calls with financial controllers, as required, to brief them on month-end close status and communicate any issues that could impact on the meeting of reporting deadlines, as soon as they arise
4. Provide guidance to RTR team members on accounting treatment of transactions
5. Assist in pulling together data and back-up documentation for external auditors
6. Collaboratively working with Global Process Owners Group Control and Technical Accounting team to establish a strong control environment along with US GAAP compliant processes
7. Develop/update/maintain an exhaustive process documentation/DTP.
8. Follows Desktop Procedures and ensure adequate policies and guidelines in place, initiates Desktop Procedures updates whenever required and actively seeks for improvements
9. Spearhead meetings with Stakeholders / Finance Technology/ Business team regarding critical issues and key business changes
