Job Description

Intern in Training Accelerate Program Overview

  • The program is designed to bring students back for multiple terms after their first internship, helping them transition into full-time Early Career Roles.

  • Duration: Internships (3 months) or Co-Ops (6 months)


  • First Internship Highlights:

    • Introduction to one organization and an overview of two others

    • Attend a week long Automation Bootcamp to learn the basics of Core Rockwell Automation Technology


  • Second and Third (if applicable) Term Highlights:

    • Focus on learning and contributing to the team you joined, increasing the scope of work from previous summer


  • End of Rotational Internship:

    • Participants apply for a full time Early Career opportunity that aligns with their interests - positioning them for accelerated growth in their full-time employment


Required Availability

  • Availability for 40 hours a week (8:00AM - 5:00PM)

  • Internships: Late May - Mid August

  • Co-Ops: Mid-January -Mid August or Late May - Mid December


2025 Available Roles and Locations:

  • Remote Support (3 Openings): Mayfield Heights, OH

  • Support customers on engineering tasks and requests remotely via chat or email

  • Field Service (1 Opening) : Dallas, TX

  • Shadow an engineer while on a customer's site and support any required actions

  • Projects - Metals & Mining/Pulp & Paper (1 Opening): Milwaukee, WI

  • Support project delivery actions from design to startup

  • Projects - Government (1 Opening): Mayfield Heights, OH

  • Support project delivery actions from design to startup

  • Projects - Process Industries (3 Openings): Mayfield Heights, OH or Baton Rouge, LA

  • Support project delivery actions from design to startup


The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Active enrollment in a four year or advanced degree program at an accredited university

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future


The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.3 or above

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrated through various experiences (e.g., internships, coursework, projects, or volunteer work)

  • Effective organization and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with diverse groups, including clients, peers, and managers

  • Creativity, self-confidence, and adaptability
