We’re Looking For:
AFC’s Risk Managers facilitate, coach, and provide direction to internal and external customers on all risk related initiatives. They are responsible for understanding and counseling on risk situations, as well as reporting on the overall implications to the business via reporting and analytic tools. Risk Managers are responsible for understanding established policy and procedure, and encouraged to propose revisions to the leadership team in an effort to build efficiencies, and maintain compliance with regulations. This role will work cross-departmentally with operations, sales, legal, and credit services to escalate problem accounts and proactively identify customers that may be a credit risk. The Risk Manager is Powered by Passion and Dedicated to the needs of our customers.
You Will:
As the Risk Manager you will:

Pro Actively manage portfolios assigned, planning of mitigation efforts, and facilitate joint efforts to protect AFC’s/KAR’s assets.

Provide reporting VIA RADAR Documentation/Sales Force and other needed reporting as the company see fit in an effort to mitigate risk on the assigned portfolio.

Communicate all risk related issues to appropriate parties in a timely and efficient manner.

Monitor compliance and coach market based employees on relevant issues, concerns and opportunities.
-
Analyze portfolios at least monthly utilizing internal reports and relevant local economic factors. Dividing into Risk, Growth, Status Quo segments for Market level execution.

Review of field reporting activity periodically to ensure that entries are correct and complete.
-
Monitor compliance and adherence to corporate policy.
-
Manage and monitor early risk signs, wind down accounts and PLN accounts to maximize recovery opportunity.
-
Communicate with Risk identified dealers as appropriate and coordinate details with market based personnel.
-
Execute all activities necessary to collect and liquidate all repossessed inventory.
-
Execute preliminary recovery actions relating to all Default/PLN dealers including replevins, court appearances, and any other self help methods necessary to protect AFC collateral.

Work with local, state and federal authorities, whenever possible, to assist in the collection/investigation efforts of dealers.

Advise Market based personnel on next steps with FAILED audits.

Meet and Achieve established loss and recovery goals on a monthly basis.

Other duties, as assigned.
Must Haves:
-
Two to five years of prior commercial collections experience required.

Familiarity with concepts, procedures and processes typically used in automotive and financial services industries.

Strong organizational, administrative and written/verbal communication skills. Google suite required
-
Telephone, keyboard, standard office equipment familiarity required.
-
College degree is preferred, not required.
