Position Description
As part of its Business expansion, CLSA Japan is seeking to hire a Risk Manager to assist with monitoring and reporting of miscellaneous risk indicators. The Risk Manager is expected to work closely with internal parties such as Tokyo Management (Country Head & COO), Front-Office (Sales & Trading), Compliance, Finance, Operations as well as our Central Risk Management Team located in Hong Kong & Beijing. External parties include Japanese end-clients or regulatory bodies for ad-hoc queries and reporting or during periodic inspections.
Key Areas of Responsibilities

Perform regular monitoring for early risk identification of market/credit/liquidity/operational risk.

Prepare regular reports for market/credit/liquidity/operational risk monitoring and communicate with relevant parties for risk issues.

Prepare limit review files for manager’s approval.

Perform ongoing data management activities.

Perform ad-hoc data extraction, analysis and reporting for risk management covering Market/Credit/Liquidity/Operational risk.

Handle market/credit/liquidity/operational risk related regulatory or internal reporting.

Work on risk related system and report enhancement projects.

Support all Asia region risk work with other risk teams together if any.
Requirements
-
5+ years of relevant risk management experience in Brokerage / Financial institution.

Bachelor Degree holder in Finance, Business or related discipline.

Possess good knowledge in financial products, such as Equity (Cash and Margin Finance), Bonds, Derivatives, Future products, etc…

Good computer application skills including SQL, VBA, C#, MS Excel and Bloomberg is preferable.

Good communication skill to liaise with stakeholders.

A good team player, quick learner, self-motivated with strong sense of responsibility and discipline.

Good command of written and spoken English and Japanese, understanding Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an advantage.
