As the Risk Management Information System (RMIS) admin and power user, you will be responsible for providing advanced user support, training, and troubleshooting for the RMIS, specifically Riskonnect or similar platforms. This role acts as the primary point of contact for users across the organization, ensuring optimal system usage, functionality, and seamless integration of the RMIS with organizational risk management processes. The position requires an individual with strong leadership, data analysis, and strategic thinking abilities, with an emphasis on improving overall risk system capabilities and business processes and practices. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • System Support & Troubleshooting: Provide advanced support to internal users of the RMIS application. Troubleshoot issues related to data entry, system functionality, and application performance. 

  • User Training: Develop and deliver training materials and sessions to new users, ensuring they are well-versed in using the system effectively. Provide ongoing training as needed. 

  • System Configuration & Customization: Work closely with the IT team, Riskonnect, and Risk Management to configure and customize the RMIS to meet the organization’s specific needs, including creating custom workflows, notification rules and reports. 

  • Data Integrity & Validation: Monitor data entered into the RMIS system, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Perform periodic audits and reviews of data to maintain high-quality standards. 

  • User Access Management: Manage user roles and permissions within the RMIS application, ensuring appropriate access controls are in place. 

  • Analytics: Generate and analyze data to support risk management decisions. Provide data-driven insights and actionable recommendations based on data trends, helping the organization minimize risk and improve operational practices.  

  • Reporting: Prepare regular risk management reports for senior management, highlighting trends, areas of opportunity, and suggesting corrective actions based on KPI metrics 

  • System Upgrades & Updates: Coordinate with the IT team and RMIS vendors to manage system upgrades, patches, and updates. Test new features and functionalities before deployment. 

  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Serve as the liaison between risk management, IT, and other departments, ensuring that RMIS solutions meet business needs. Communicate updates, enhancements, and troubleshooting outcomes effectively. 

  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of RMIS procedures, user guides, and troubleshooting steps. Ensure all changes and updates are properly documented for future reference. 

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with RMIS best practices and industry trends. Provide recommendations for system improvements and process optimizations. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with RMIS platforms (such as Riskonnect), with at least 1 year in a super user or administrator role. Prior experience in risk management or insurance is a plus. 

  • Experience in managing risk management systems and working in a large organization or in the risk management field. 

 

SKILLS: 

  • In-depth knowledge of RMIS in a SaaS environment, configuration, and customization. 

  • Strong understanding of risk management processes and data reporting. 

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 

  • Ability to train and support end-users effectively. 

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). 

  • Experience with system integrations and data imports/exports is a plus. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and risk management software. 

 

EDUCATION: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. 

Preferred certifications include  

  • Risk Management Certification (e.g., CRM – Certified Risk Manager). Advanced certifications such as Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Claims (AIC), or equivalent are a plus 

  • Certifications or advanced training related to RMIS platforms (e.g., Riskonnect certifications). 

  • Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools. 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • This position requires the ability to remain stationery, move around, lift, etc., with or without reasonable accommodation. 

 

Compensation range is $65-$70k + bonus based on qualifications, experience, and performance. Full-time employees at Sky Zone enjoy a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage along with a 401k plan with company matching. Eligibility for 401k is based on age and tenure requirements.
