The Role
Fusion's Revenue Operations Senior Analyst will collaborate closely with sales leadership and sales teams and other RevOps team members to drive revenue growth and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of sales processes, forecasting, and compensation structures, and is adept at leveraging data to inform strategic decisions.
Specifically, you will focus on the following areas:
· Pipeline Management and Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate pipeline reports and forecasting models. Conduct in-depth analysis of pipeline health, identifying trends, and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with sales teams to ensure pipeline accuracy and progression.
· Compensation Design and Commission Calculation: Design and implement effective compensation plans aligned with company goals. Develop and maintain commission calculation models, ensuring accurate and timely payouts.
· Data Analysis and Reporting: Build and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to sales leadership. Prepare executive-level presentations (Board decks) summarizing performance and highlighting key trends.
· Sales Enablement: Partner closely with the Sales Enablement & Effectiveness team to provide data-driven recommendations for improving sales productivity and performance. Conduct pipeline health reviews and coaching sessions with sales representatives.
· Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize revenue operations processes, leveraging automation and technology to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Salesforce, BI tools)
· Experience with sales forecasting, compensation plan design, and commission calculation
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences
· Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
· Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and sales forecasting tools (e.g., Clari)
· Preferred: Advanced degree (MBA or MS) in a relevant field
· Preferred: Experience with data modeling and statistical analysis
· Preferred: Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, R)
Qualifications (Education and Certifications)
· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
· 3+ years of experience in revenue operations, sales operations, or financial analysis
Milestones for the First Six Months
In one month, you will:
· Familiarize yourself with Revenue Office (RO) pipeline reporting and forecasting
· Learn the details of the CRM (Salesforce system) – fields and their purpose by engaging with IT (CRM Admin), Accounting, Finance and RevOps team members
· Establish an understanding of the sales organization, reporting structures, territories, BDR to rep mapping, compensation structures, comp plans
· Take ownership of Board deck preparation
In three months, you will:
· Take ownership of all Revenue Office (RO) pipeline reporting and forecasting
· Ensure data integrity, quality and hygiene – by engaging directly with sales reps to progress deals forward.
· Lead calculation of commission payments at the end of the Quarter – review with Finance and Accounting
· Work with IT (CRM Admin) to ensure that Salesforce and Clari are fully integrated – identify and add fields that are necessary for better reporting
In six months, you will:
· Proactively provide recommendations to the Enablement & Effectiveness team, sales reps and sales leaders on improving sales productivity and performance
· Be a key contributor to Rules of the Road, and Best Practices documents
· Be viewed as a subject-matter-expert (SME) on all things to do with RevOps reporting, dashboards, pipeline health, and commission calculations
