If you were starting your vacation 15 years ago by driving to the airport, it went like this: Show up early, hope there’s a free space, and pay whatever rate was permanently printed on a billboard. But that’s all changing!
In 2024, eight of the ten busiest airports in the US offer online pre-book parking reservations. Travelers who park at the airport can save money by reserving their parking in advance, in addition to guaranteeing they’ll have a space when they arrive for their journey. They often have the option to reserve additional services, like EV charging or car washes. And there’s much more to come!
At AeroParker, a Metropolis Company, we are looking for a Revenue Manager to support our teams who currently provide revenue management across the USA, as well as bidding on new business opportunities with airports of all sizes.
We are looking for team members who are highly analytical, creative, and innovative, but most importantly can communicate data to drive revenue management decisions. The successful candidate will develop an in-depth understanding of the marketplace and develop yield strategies to increase revenues and drive profitability for New York and other airports AeroParker operates at across the USA.
Responsibilities
- Support our team who currently provide revenue management services to airports across the US. This support includes but is not limited to the following:
- Strong forecasting skills by leading the quarterly forecasting cycle in collaboration with assigned airports, highlighting trends in the short, medium, and long term.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports highlighting the key information within the forecast alluding to assumptions made as part of the forecast cycle.
- Writes and reviews end of month revenue reports highlighting key contributing factors to the monthly performance.
- Prepares reports and other materials for regular meetings and business processes.
- Assist with maximizing revenues with yield strategies based on rigorous quantitative analysis of historical and projected demand, competitive environment, industry trends, and consumer behavior.
- Recommend appropriate pricing actions and perform post-forecast audits/assessment of actions.
- Monitor competitor activity, including off-airport parking operators, third-party aggregators, and other modes of transport.
- Conduct market research by analyzing offsite parking locations, other large airports, and trends in ground transportation.
- Co-ordinate online promotions with the wider team, developing and delivering promotional offers aimed at maximizing parking sales and increasing the size of the customer database.
- Develop and utilize pricing tools on a frequent basis, including reporting dashboards, rate of sale dashboards and price recommendation tools.
- Design revenue management plans for new business opportunities.
Experience
- Strong written and verbal communication with all levels within the organisation.
- Using online pricing and revenue management techniques
- Previous experience of using online booking systems would be useful but not essential.
- Using a range of Business Intelligence tools to deliver insight, develop reporting and drive commercial decision making.
- Designing and developing annual budgets and periodic reforecasting for airport parking or in other similar sectors.
- Building business cases and proposals for existing clients and prospective clients.
- Using multiple online distribution channels to maximize online sales, as well as the ability to identify the pros and cons of using multiple distribution channels.
Qualifications
- S./B.A., or advanced degree with significant coursework or experience in a quantitative discipline (data analytics, economics, mathematics, operations research, statistics, decision science, etc.)
- Ability to design, develop and implement a revenue management strategy.
- 2+ years related analytics, business intelligence, or decision support experience.
- Travel experience (airline, hotel, rental car, train, bus line, cruise line) and/or airport parking experience is preferred.
- A strategic thinker who considers commercial, operational, resourcing, and longer-term strategic considerations when making tactical and strategic decisions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to create high-level analysis and reporting, detailing the main points for discussion and present insightful recommendations.
- The ability to quickly assess the validity of reports and analysis based on large data sets.
- An understanding of e-commerce, understanding how to interpret web analytical tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with AeroParker team and clients from multiple disciplines who operate at different levels in an organization.
- Ability to hit deadlines and work under time constraints.
- High-level of competency in Microsoft Excel is required, Use of SQL/Python is desirable.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $100,000.00 to $135,000.00. The actual base salary offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base salary is one component of Metropolis’s total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans and more.
