Position Summary:
We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Finance professional to join our Global Revenue Accounting Team as a Revenue Accounting Manager. This role is perfect for an ambitious individual looking to make a significant impact within a growing Global Business Service Centre. You will be an integral part of our team, ensuring accurate revenue reporting for a diverse range of complex entities.
Responsibilities:
- Apply and enforce the Company's revenue recognition policy for all entities supported by GBS APAC, including accounting for service contracts, recognizing achievements, and reviewing complex sales contracts.
- Ensure flawless monthly closing of revenue-related transactions in accordance with the financial close schedule.
- Establish controls to maintain compliance with company policy and GAAP for revenue forecasts, deferred revenue balances, and revenue accounting execution.
- Serve as a key interface and business partner with divisional financial controllership, sales, customer service, and finance teams, providing technical accounting expertise and training.
- Perform technical accounting research of complex issues to ensure accurate accounting treatment.
- Act as the primary liaison for revenue deliverables during annual reviews by internal and external auditors.
- Coordinate the review of balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries prepared by the Revenue Accounting Team.
- Conduct goal setting, performance evaluations, and career development discussions for the GBS APAC Revenue Accounting Team.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team for revenue accounting processes using PPI methodology.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Revenue Accounting experience.
- Qualified accountant or QBE.
- Strong analytical, project, and people management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), Oracle, Cognos.
- High degree of integrity, goal-oriented, and experienced in team management.
- Familiarity with ERPs and systems such as JD Edwards E1, SAP, Smartview, Hyperion Financial Management, and FDM beneficial.
