The Revenue Accounting Manager will be responsible for supporting the revenue accounting function. 

This position will report to the Director of Revenue Accounting and will work closely with other departments that support the Order to Cash function (Orders Management, Accounts Receivable, Credit & Collections, etc). 

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, have experience with ASC 606 (and the allocation of revenue under multiple-element arrangements), and be motivated by working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that revenue is accurately and timely recognized
  • Review and update accounting schedules (SSPs, MEAs) to support ASC 606 revenue
  • Work closely with Orders, Accounts Receivable, & Sales Operations teams to ensure that policies and processes are in place to systematically ensure that revenue is recognized correctly
  • Key point of contact with external auditors for all revenue recognition topics (including preparation of revenue schedules and updates to accounting policies)
  • Lead integration efforts of opening balance sheet items for M&A transactions
  • Assist with month-end close including review of various journal entries, account reconciliations, and trends analysis
  • Perform daily analysis, review exception reports and reconcile accounting systems to ensure accurate reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external revenue reporting packages
  • Coach, mentor and support a team of Senior/Staff accountants

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • CPA required
  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Experience with Software and SaaS Revenue Recognition under ASC 606
  • Public Accounting experience a plus
  • Exceptional written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to break down complex issues and tailor communication style to a range of audiences, including non-accountants, and to clearly articulate ideas, solutions and conclusions to stakeholders
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize effectively and work well colleagues across businesses and geographies in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent computer skills required, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with NetSuite and ARM (Advanced Revenue Module) a plus
