Hybrid Role: Requires 3 days onsite at our Costa Rica office (Zona Franca UltraLAG, Level 1, Heredia) and 2 days remote per week.
Procore is looking for a Revenue Accountant to join our Revenue Accounting team. This role will play a critical role assisting in the revenue close, account reconciliations, preparation of various analytical reports for both international and domestic revenue, deferred revenue and accounts receivable, and reconciling ARR. This role will work with cross-functional teams and interact with our external auditors during the quarterly/annual audits. The ideal candidate enjoys a fast-paced, high-growth environment, is a self-starter, and can work independently but also as part of a collaborative team.
This position will report to the Manager, Revenue Accounting. This is a hybrid position based in our office in Costa Rica. We’re looking for someone to join our team immediately. We’re looking for a candidate to join us immediately.
What you'll do:
- Responsible for timely and accurate completion of assigned month, quarter, and year-end revenue-related close items, including the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis.
- Partner with upstream teams such as Order Management and Deal Desk related to key controls, including the review and evaluation of deals to analyze the accuracy and completeness of the associated transactions and document/communicate any revenue impact of those deals
- Prepare complex spreadsheets, utilizing graphs and extensive use of analytical tools (pivots, lookups) to illustrate findings and report results
- Work with the Revenue Accounting team on various accounting matters for guidance and implementation of the proper accounting treatment
- Assist with SOX and financial audits (PBC items, document support, reports)
- Assist the Finance team with ad hoc research, reporting and projects as it pertains to revenue, deferred revenue and AR
- Mine data and analyze trends while explaining variances
- Follow appropriate treatment for US GAAP revenue recognition under ASC 606 and Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) in reviewing contracts and validating proper recognition in financial systems.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business
- Minimum 3 years of progressive global accounting experience in a public or private company, preferably with some revenue recognition experience
- Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with a variety of functions across the organization
- Advanced Excel skills such as pivot tables and data analysis
- Ability to work proactively and independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high growth environment
- ASC 606/SaaS/multiple-element arrangement revenue recognition experience is a plus
- Prior experience with NetSuite, Zuora, RevPro, SalesForce software applications is a plus
