POSITION SUMMARY
This role is required to be in office 5 days a week.
As a Revenue Accountant, you will be responsible for all functions and requirements to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with Accounting Standards Codification 606 (ASC 606). Your responsibilities will also include reviewing customer contracts in order to ensure all revenue implications are identified and accounted for correctly, improving and streamlining systems relating to revenue recognition in order to become more efficient, analyzing revenue from several different perspectives to determine accuracy of recognized revenue, trends, and concerns, and several other ad hoc analysis around revenue and revenue recognition. Additionally, in this role you will ensure the accuracy of deferred revenue and perform all necessary reconciliations and reporting on deferred revenue. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with proper revenue recognition of all revenue channels;
- Assist in performing revenue related analysis such as SSP analysis and others;
- Review and understand customer contracts;
- Assist in preparing and analyzing revenue projections, revenue trends, etc.;
- Help the implementation team develop tools to assist with automating revenue recognition;
- Prepare and reconcile changes in revenue and deferred revenue;
- Assist the orders team to ensure contracts are properly entered into accounting system;
- Prepare ad hoc analysis as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Certified Public Accountant a plus);
- 1+ year of accounting experience (preferred);
- Familiar/experienced with ASC 606;
- Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce (preferred);
- Experience within SaaS industry (preferred);
- Analytical, organizational, communications, written, and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize upon the various responsibilities and understand the interdependencies of others within the function of this role;
- Excellent computer skills.
