We're Looking For A(n): Retail Sales Intern to assist multiple Territory Sales Manager in driving Golden Hippo pet brand sales in your assigned Area. Your time will be split between virtual sales calls (Inside Sales for multiple territories) to pet stores, store visits with your assigned Territory Sales Manager and independent field work to current accounts in your market. Measured by incremental sales to the C/D stores in your assigned Territory
Location: Hybrid, Woodland Hills CA
What You'll Be Doing:
- Grow distribution and service levels in assigned virtual territory of smaller stores within the Area.
- Deliver in-store demonstrations, marketing/merchandising support and employee training for stores in geographic (assigned) territory
- Assist TSM in all aspects of their business in assigned territory
- Help build strong relationships with smaller stores in assigned territory through independent account calls
- Deliver Ad Hoc analysis via store visits (ie. Competitive pricing, competitive brand communications, etc...)
- Learn all aspects of field sales in the independent pet channel
- Take part in Area meetings to learn and grow
- Attend industry events in the Area , including distributor and retailer shows, to represent the brands and expand your network and stay updated on industry trends.
- Maintain an understanding of pet brands, the independent pet channel and the pet industry on the whole.
Qualifications (Note: We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don't tick ALL of these boxes.):
- Ability to travel 50% of the time within market area
- Currently enrolled in a relevant or business degree program
- Some basic retail or sales type experience or past internship preferred
- Some relevant pet industry experience preferred
- Strong communications and presentation skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Self-motivated and self-directed.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional follow-through skills to ensure tasks are completed accurately.
- Curiosity and commitment to ongoing growth, staying updated on industry trends, and uncovering new opportunities

The base salary range is $17-$20.
