PS 306 Ethan Allen Community School is a school-based program that offers a strategy to organize resources and share leadership to integrate social services into the fabric of the schools. Community Schools offer a holistic approach toward improving academic performance driven by collaborative partnerships among principals, parents, teachers and CBOs. At the student level, Community Schools aim to increase student attendance, student engagement, development of social and emotional skills, and improve academic performance. At the school level, Community Schools aim to improve school culture, more actively engage families and provide seamless service delivery with partner organizations.

Position: Restorative Justice Coordinator

What The Restorative Justice Coordinator Does:

  • Foster respectful, professional relationships with students and school staff, maintaining confidentiality in all matters related to student
  • Follow Universal Precautions, Standard Protocols, and ensure compliance with all Federal, State, City, and CAMBA privacy and security policies, including those protecting health
  • Actively participate in the School Attendance team to design and implement strategies aimed at improving student attendance, aligning efforts with school
  • Coordinate student and parent workshops in restorative justice
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the Restorative Justice program, supporting its execution while actively participating in the school attendance team to enhance student attendance and align with school
  • Work directly with students struggling with chronic
  • Provide multi-tiered support for students facing academic, behavioral, or emotional
  • Collaborate with success mentors to identify at-risk students for timely
  • Collaborate with staff to develop tailored solutions to improve
  • Collaborate with the Counseling Team in the implementation of Tier 2 and Tier 3 behavior
  • Tracking student intervention and progress in collaboration with cohort
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that support social-emotional learning (SEL).
  • Collaborate with school administration and staff to conduct a needs assessment, on the needs of students, families and school community
  • Design and update a monthly interactive SEL bulletin board to promote key concepts such as self-awareness, social awareness, and responsible decision-making.
  • Establish and facilitate teams of school stakeholders responsible for implementing the restorative program
  • Organize restorative practices training for key school
  • Ensure restorative justice practices are inclusive and responsive to the diverse cultural and racial backgrounds of the community.
  • Collaborate with the Pupil Personnel Team and Student Intervention
  • Mentor students by setting academic, behavioral, and social
  • Input and maintain accurate student data in the database
  • Analyze behavioral and attendance data to guide individual interventions with school
  • Oversee students during breakfast, lunch, and
  • Ensure student records, case notes, and attendance logs are kept accurate, up-to-date, and
  • Assist in organizing school-wide activities that promote a positive school
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on program performance and
  • Support student leadership by co-advising student organizations and facilitating extracurricular
  • Address disciplinary issues promptly and escalate concerns to school personnel as
  • Organize and oversee student group activities, ensuring a structured, supportive environment for all
  • Provide logistical support for school
  • Support daily operational tasks, including file maintenance, supply management, and resource
  • Assist with tracking student attendance at arrival and ensure late arrivals follow appropriate sign-in
  • Communicate with parents/guardians to address concerns regarding student safety or
  • Duties evolve or expand based on program needs, with additional responsibilities assigned as

Minimum Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Education, Social Work or related field

Other Requirements:

  • Min of two (2) years of experience in child development or a similar area; experience working in school-based oryouth services settings is strongly
  • Strong administrative skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs and database
  • Familiarity with Restorative Practices and demonstrated expertise in working with and facilitating groups of school-based staff
  • Exhibits cultural competence and works with racial justice lens
  • Demonstrated belief in youth development and youth leadership

Compensation: $47,000 annually
When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization.

Status: Full-time (35 hours per week) (Ends June 30, 2025)
