About the Opportunity
KNMRC is actively seeking a Lithography Process Engineer. The individual will work in the clean room and will play a critical role in the process development for various lithography systems. As part of a KNMRC team, the candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, maintaining, and improving lithography processes and tools.
This position will perform the following:
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments to improve process capability, quality, and efficiency.
- Conduct fee-for-service process requests from customers.
- Coordinate with faculty/KNMRC staff develop new process steps and SOP for tools as needed.
- Train students and researchers on lab procedures, lab safety, chemical handling, fabrication processes, and equipment operation.
- Work with the Lab Equipment Manager and other staff on repair, maintenance, modification, and/or the upgrade or development of various tools in the lab.
- Help with the purchase of tool upgrades and development of new processes associated with equipment purchases.
Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. or M.S. in engineering, physics or related discipline is required, plus at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in fabrication of semiconductor devices, MEMS and/or CMOS devices is required.
- Knowledge and experience in the following process areas are required: Photo lithography, E-beam lithography, Direct write lithography, Nanoimprint lithography, etc
- Knowledge of metrology tools such as SEM, AFM, profilometers and ellipsometers are required.
- Experience defining and implementing statistical process control is desired.
- Working knowledge of statistical analysis and design of experiments is desired.
