Research Assistant
About the Role:

As part of the medical team reporting to the Manager of Clinical Projects, this role provides clinical research study support for implementation of assigned protocols, recruitment and engagement with study participants, monitoring and reporting of data collection, and preparation of study data for analysis. As part of the study team, the Research Assistant will ensure that studies are conducted and documented in accordance with the IRB protocol, standard operating procedures and Good Clinical Practices. This is a unique opportunity to perform research that directly influences product development. Day to Day:
•    Recruit and enroll research participants, ensuring ethical standards are maintained.
•    Produce good written and verbal communication with research participants in order to optimize retention and engagement in study activities.
•    Assist in the build, implementation, and analysis of research studies focused on the impact of technology on child and adolescent mental health and well-being.
•    Collect, manage, and analyze data using appropriate research methodologies.
•    Create and maintain reports to communicate study progress and relevant information.
•    Troubleshoot daily study operations to improve efficiency and participant experience.
•    Prepare and maintain detailed records of research activities, including IRB protocols and GCP compliance.
•    Assist in the preparation of research reports, presentations, and publications.
•    Conduct literature reviews and summarize findings.
•    Contribute to medical team discussions on research design and product roadmaps.


What you bring to the table:
•    Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Biology, Health Sciences or a similar discipline.
•    2+ years of experience in a research setting, preferably participant facing on clinical research studies.
•    Familiarity with Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) research standards.
•    Remote work location with ability to maintain privacy
•    Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing and communications, data science, legal, and finance.

It would be great if you also had:
•    Experience with fully remote research study recruitment and operations.
•    Familiarity with survey-based electronic data capture systems for research data collection and management.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills, good presentation, negotiation and influencing abilities.
•    Ability to work independently, and collaboratively with the study team to optimize participant engagement and ensure protocol compliance.
•    Effective at analyzing and escalating issues at the right functional level, solving problems and resolving conflicts in a timely manner.
•    Proactive, conscientious and precise in delivery of quality work 
•    Innovative, agile learner with curiosity about the intersection of technology use and well-being in children and adolescents
•    Available and willing to travel 2-4 weeks per year for team meetings

Pay range for this position is $70,000-90,000, but may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.
