In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust reporting solutions using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) to support business decision-making processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, business stakeholders, and data architects, to deliver high-quality reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights and improve business outcomes.
As an SSRS Developer, you will leverage your expertise in SQL, data modeling, and reporting tools to create customized, efficient, and scalable reports that align with the company’s objectives. Your contributions will be essential to enhancing data visibility, supporting business intelligence initiatives, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of reports used across the organization.

Job Description

Duties/Responsibilities

SSRS Developer

• Data Extraction and manipulation

  • Write complex SQL queries to retrieve data from various databases for use in reports.

• Report Design

  • Create visually appealing and user-friendly report layouts using SSRS tools including tables, charts, graphs and other data visualization elements.

• Parameterization

  • Implement parameters within reports to allow users to filter data based on specific criteria.

• Drill down functionality

  • Design reports with drill down capabilities to enable users to explore data.

• Report Deployment

  • Publish reports to the SSRS server for user access with proper security.

• Performance optimization

  • Tune SQL queries and report layouts to ensure efficient data retrieval and report generation.

• Collaboration & Support

  • Provide troubleshooting techniques to front end users.

  • Support other members of the team with implementation of the above.

• Documentation

  • Keep existing documentation up to date while also creating new documentation in the same voice as other documentation pieces created.

• Miscellaneous

  • Familiar with source control technologies

    • TFS

    • GIT

  • Create and manage subscriptions

    • Data Driven

    • Standard

Qualifications
Minimum Job Requirements

• Degree Computer Science, Data, Mathematics, Statistics, or Business Analytics or a related field or equivalent work experience is required

• 3+ years of related experience required

• Strong knowledge in SSRS and SQL Server.
