Your Role: Reliability Engineer Leader
As a Reliability Engineer Leader, you will develop and implement proactive reliability programs that enhance equipment performance, maximize uptime, and support operational excellence for North America Customer Fulfillment teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory & Asset Management – Lead site Inventory Management System (IMS) teams and ensure effective Critical Spare Parts tracking.
- Leadership & Scheduling – Oversee Planner/Schedulers to ensure timely completion of preventative and predictive maintenance tasks.
- Cross-Team Collaboration – Partner with Fulfillment Operations, Engineering, and Safety to optimize building systems and maintenance strategies.
- Data-Driven Solutions – Analyze performance metrics to identify failure modes and implement predictive maintenance improvements.
- Process Improvement – Engage with Amazon Senior Operations to enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) – Lead RCA investigations and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Team Development – Mentor and build career progression paths for Reliability team members.
- Safety & Compliance – Ensure adherence to all Amazon safety standards and regulations.
- Subject Matter Expertise – Serve as an SME for Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including process flow and technical specifications.
What You Bring:
Basic Qualifications:
✔ 5+ years in Reliability Program Management or equivalent role
✔ 5+ years of experience in team management, budget oversight, and supplier relations
✔ Expertise in CMMS systems, reporting, and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
✔ Hands-on experience with MHE, Controls Systems, PIT, and building operations
✔ Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or equivalent experience
✔ Industrial maintenance leadership experience with conveyors, robotics, and process control
✔ Six Sigma or Root Cause Analysis certification
✔ PMP certification (Project Management)
✔ Expertise in CMMS, preventive maintenance, and industrial electrical/control systems
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, reach overhead, kneel, squat, and climb ladders.
- Work in warehouse environments with fluctuating temperatures.
- Wear required PPE, including hard hats, safety shoes, and masks when necessary.
- Move across 6-12 miles per day within fulfillment centers.
