Purpose of the Job:

  • Support Plants in Operation Optimization, Troubleshooting & Problem Solving whenever required to allow continuous operability to achieve Manufacturing site / Regional targets.
  • Support product transfers from other sites / regions to further improve site profitability in the most efficient and cost-effective manner, beside ensuring Process Safety requirement followed
  • Lead operation team in special assigned tasks that require immediate solutions.
  • Support in Strategic Site / Capability Expansion activities.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Identify, plan and implement key projects to improve quality, reduce cost, increase productivity and improve cycle time by debottlenecking in line with business needs and strategic plans.
  • Main participant and drafter in improvement or growth project front end concept, technical feasibility and financial/economy studies for approval.
  • Ensuring content of URS created are fit for purpose and meeting guidelines before submitting for mass review / approval.
  • Work with QC/QA to implement SPC, identify problematic grades and work with stakeholders within OIT & Tech Service to address problems.
  • Lead or participate in troubleshooting or plant investigations for quality, process problem/upset, customer complaints, equipment failure etc. using modern techniques such as 5Y, Fishbone, 8D.
  • Perform required engineering services, such as Project Excellence and Capex, with associated paperwork to support improvement projects.
  • Lead/coordinate/support where required to execute tasks assigned directly to you, regional resources or external stakeholders.
  • Lead Management of Change (MOC) system, ensuring all changes are uploaded, paperwork and approvals are in place and managed Support project team in FEED and commissioning of new CAPEX related projects implementation.
  • Develop, monitor, follow-up, evaluate and coordinate with Production, Product Improvement, Quality, Research & Development and Technical Service in plant trial runs activity for product improvement and development or evaluation of alternative raw material supplier to ensure no process or quality upset. Ensure reports are written and circulated.
  • Develop, update and maintain efficient technical, operational and specification documentations of process and product references to meet requirements for ISO
  • Lead commissioning activities for newly installed plant and equipment Participate in special designated regional projects such as asset expansion and new business studies to propose front end scopes, before passing down to Project team for implementation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Chemical Engineering degree holder minimum 5 years relevant experience
  • Minimum 2 years Site & Operation experience in Emulsion Polymerization Manufacturing
  • Good knowledge in Engineering Design & Thermochemistry.
  • Capable to use designing tool (Autocad, MS Office)
  • Work with minimal supervision, lead and motivate other members
  • Good interpersonal, communication and presentation
  • Business minded and good problem-solving skills
  • Creative thinking in Problem solving, effective communication, manufacturing safety
