We are hiring a Regional Sales Engineer in Sydney. In this role you will own the technical side of the customer relationship and play a crucial role in driving our growth by leveraging your expertise and engaging with customers to deliver exceptional results. 

Reporting to: Regional Sales Engineer Director 

Location: Sydney, Australia (home office)

Responsibilities: 

  • Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert to our enterprise customers, understanding their business needs, and providing effective solutions to address their challenges. 
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to develop and execute strategic sales plans that align with customer objectives and drive revenue growth. 
  • Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof-of-concepts to showcase the value and capabilities of our solutions. 
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear and compelling messages that resonate with customers and effectively communicate the vision and journey they can embark upon with our company. 
  • Drive customer engagement throughout the sales cycle, from initial discovery to post-sales support, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term success. 
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in the cybersecurity space, and leverage this knowledge to position our products effectively. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and engineering, to provide customer feedback and contribute to product roadmap discussions. 
  • Collect and disseminate customer requirements for the Product Management team. 
  • Set the technical direction for solutions and ensure sales team activities are coordinated and focused. 
  • Work closely with the Project Management and Professional Services team to actively support project objectives, schedules and deliverables. 



Requirements

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or 6 years of work experience in Network Security 
  • 6+ years of presales experience in Enterprise selling. 
  • Excellent oral and written skills in English. 
  • Solid understanding of the technology security market space firewalls, IDS/IPS, SDN, Compliance and Policy Orchestration. 
  • In depth working knowledge of TCP/IP v4, VRF, AWS VPC, routing and firewall policies, experienced in LDAP and Radius for authentication services. 
  • Competent with Windows and Linux systems. 
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to create complex integrated solutions. 
  • Willing to travel 50% to customer sites as required for solution workshops. 
  • Excellent prioritization and qualification skills to ensure pipeline integrity and predictability. 
  • Strong presence as this role will have extensive executive visibility both internally and externally. 
  • Experience working or good knowledge on application builds and REST APIs. 
  • Expert knowledge of core infrastructure, virtualization and systems, cloud solutions (public, private, hybrid), network and security, LAN & WAN. 
  • Able to not just technically position the AlgoSec proposition but sell the vision and journey to customers. 
  • Excellent oral and written skills in English. 
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
