Manage backend processes to support optimization of SBU portfolios: In the role, the Product Specialist will coordinate with EHS/Regulatory, Product Support, Manufacturing and Planning to make changes to the portfolio offerings. Key functions will involve:
- Executing product deletions in NPIR/SAP
- Creating product plant extensions in NPIR/SAP
- Creating sales org extensions in NPIR/SAP
- Creating packaging additions in NPIR/SAP
- Adding new product names in NPIR/SAP
Creating Fast Track requests to provide needed information relative to product changes and market needs.
Update and maintain product price book in alignment with SBU Strategy
- Submit pricing changes, including price increases, in timely manner to regional pricing
- For new products, submit list, target, and floor prices to regional pricing
- Work with Regional SBU, Global SBU directors and Pricing Leads to gain a working knowledge of how to develop pricing strategies
Aid in development of commercial-facing price increase documentation
Optimize SBU Profitability
- Engage in regional product line strategy to development to improve mix
- Plan and execute product rationalization efforts
- Execute and lead SBU-defined projects to improve product-line profitability
Ensure accurate product costing at raw material and manufacturing levels
Update product communications
- Review and update product information in Product Selection guides, working with marketing and APPL to execute
Properly maintain new/updated/deleted product content on ACUMEN, including product data sheets (PDS) and associated literature
