ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:
Univision Local Media New York is looking for a stellar National Sales Manager. This is a great career opportunity for an experienced, dynamic individual to join our sales team. Our NSM acts as a liaison between the outside sales offices and our television stations. Responsibilities include driving sales and revenue from National Advertising Agencies and Major Holding Companies, detailed forecasting of national sales revenue by office, travel & expense budgeting, and conducting regular evaluations of national sales office performance. The NSM must also conduct regular evaluation of national sales assistants.
The National Sales Manager must be visible in outside offices on a regular basis, with a travel schedule determined quarterly to meet station’s needs. This person will also be responsible for new business goal setting and monitoring progress of target accounts. The National Sales Manager should be personally involved with clients and their agencies on both a national and local level, and may be required to accompany and assist local sales on calls, meet with clients and planning agencies that impact local business in the New York, Philadelphia and Washington DC DMA’s as well as in other cities.
YOUR DAY-DAY:
• Drive Sales and Revenue while achieving quarterly and annual assigned budgets
• Provide timely, detailed station information to outside sales offices
• Accompany account executives on presentations and sales calls
• Provide and complete accurate weekly management reports on billing and call activity
• Creative and strategic team player
• Identify, assign and monitor progress of accounts with national account executives
• Detailed, accurate revenue forecasting
• Collaborate with Local Sales Manager on accounts, which may involve both local and national sales initiatives.
• Participate in local community or charitable organizations
• Attendance at station sponsored events
• Conducts ascertainment interviews as required
• Plan & execute travel
YOU HAVE:
· Bachelor's degree in business and / or marketing and previous advertising / media sales experience
· 5-10 years in broadcast sales and 3+ years in broadcast sales management
· Experience selling Addressable Ad Platforms
· Strong written and verbal communications skills
· Proven track record managing and closing Agency, Retail and Client Direct Advertising business
· Experience in managing and executing new business
· Strategic, motivated, enthusiastic self-starter who can work effectively in a matrix organization
· Ability to develop customized marketing solutions for clients, possess exceptional presentation skills and have a professional presence
· Proficiency in MS Office -- including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
DESIRED SKILL & EXPERIENCE:
· Articulate, well-spoken and highly organized
· Solid business relationships at Ad Holding Companies, Agencies and Buying Services
· Knowledge of the New York, Philadelphia and Washington DC Media Markets
· Ability to convey information to account executives at outside sales offices in both written and verbal forms
· Able to present research information and station proposals in a clear and enthusiastic manner
· Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
· Ability to collaborate/communicate effectively with relevant departments at Univision
· Working knowledge of television applications such as TVScan, Vivvix, Polk Data and qualitative programs like Scarborough or Nielsen Advantage

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Please note the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S. locations that would be applicable to the position.
Base Salary Range:
$180,000- $200,000 + Bonus + Benefit
