About the job

Create the regional ESAB Business Excellence System (EBX) roadmap to effect sustainable Continuous Improvement Culture leading to real performance improvements.

Train, challenge, coach and lead the European Ops Leadership and their teams to enhance their EBX Capabilities.

To be the natural contact point for EBX expertise in the region for any relevant part of ESAB, and support in the Concept description and development within the Group.

General about EBX

We base EBX on our Values and are guided by our Vision. All Leaders in Operations have three tasks; Run the business, Improve the business and Develop People. The fundamental elements of EBX Foundation: Team based organization, Standard Work, Performance Management (including Daily Management System and RCCM) and Kaizen.

The EBX Roadmap should include: Timed Implementation/process steps; Plan for creating Management commitment, direction setting and communication; Plan for EBX Capability building (Trainers, Network, Concept, etc.); Plan and structure for follow-up and governance

What You'll be doing 📚

  • Develop, follow up, and update the Regional EBX Roadmap annually.

  • Act as the Matrix Manager for EBX/Lean Managers and Leaders in manufacturing locations, ensuring capability to deliver on the roadmap.

  • Establish EBX Foundation in each factory using the train-the-trainer methodology.

  • Drive standardized, scalable process improvements across Business Units and Group Functions.

  • Work with European Operations Controller to set operational KPIs and identify key areas for cost reduction.

  • Champion 80/20 simplification and SKU reduction for leaner operations.

  • Promote "Best EBX practices" and prioritize initiatives based on business rationale.

  • Identify and develop talent at plants in collaboration with VP Ops.

What We are looking for

  • Lean training with practical expertise in applying Lean tools (VSM, 5S, TPM, SMED, Zero Loss Analysis).

  • 10+ years of proven experience in Lean business transformation across industries and geographies.

  • Strong operational leadership with the ability to coach and inspire Senior Managers and Leaders through change.

  • Fluent in English (other European languages preferred)

  • Willingness to travel extensively to manufacturing locations.

  • Fast learner, positive energy, results-oriented, with strong communication, influencing, and analytical skills.
