Role Description:
This role leads a team of underwriters and manages relationships with regional brokers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrites, prices and negotiates accounts consistent with the quality of the risk and according to the company’s strategies and guidelines for the product lines.
- Identifies underperforming brokers and renewal books, and engages team and key stakeholders to drive improvements.
- Builds collaborative relationships with underwriters across the US offices.
- Achieves production targets and underwrites business profitably.
- Functions as an escalation point for both personnel and underwriting-related concerns and provides day-to-day coaching and development to team members.
Technical Requirements:
- Expertise in leading, motivating and developing a team of underwriters to achieve business results.
- In depth knowledge of underwriting policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Advanced risk assessment, business needs assessment, and pricing knowledge.
- Basic knowledge of broker performance variables and ability to respond effectively.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills.

Salary Range $105,000 - 130,000
