Role Overview:
Working within the Global GEC IT team, you will be responsible for the IT services within the GEC IMEA (currently India, Middle East and Africa) region and supporting the APAC organisations, engaging with various stakeholders across the business including local senior management, GEC global IT team and Gunnebo Group central IT team.
This role will include engaging with global stakeholders and will need the individual to travel as and when required.
You will need to have gained experience in IT Infrastructure management, ERP system implementation, management and support, business applications (helpdesk, ePDM, etc,) support and project management within a Project, Manufacturing and Service organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, oversee, and support the hardware infrastructure and local applications working with internal and external partners to ensure that all IT related systems are running efficiently within the GEC organisations the role has responsibility for.
- Implement the globally defined IT policies and procedures to ensure the security, reliability, and availability of all IT systems and services.
- Develop and manage IT budgets, ensuring that all IT expenditures are within budget and in line with the organisation's goals and objectives.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure that all IT services are delivered appropriately on time and within budget.
- Identify and recommend new technologies and systems that can help improve the organization's overall IT infrastructure.
- Work closely with other departments to understand their technology needs and to propose / implement solutions to meet those needs
- Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure that the organization's IT systems can recover quickly from any disruptions.
- Support in implementing / managing the ISMS / ISO2700x accreditation in the organization
Requirements:
- Fluent in English
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or >5 years of experience in IT management.
- In-depth knowledge of hardware, software, and network systems. Including ERP platforms
- Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft packages, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and services.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with minimal supervision.
- Ability to undertake a variety of activities with a substantial degree of personal responsibility adaptability and autonomy. It is important to be able to work independently within a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills, and ability to learn new skills and systems quickly.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills at different levels of seniority; strong analytical and technical writing skills
- Ability to develop and manage IT budgets.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX / D365 ERP systems is desirable.
- Understanding of security, compliance, and regulatory requirements
