Develop a regional segment strategy that is in consideration of the global strategy. This will be based on understanding of customer needs, industry and competitive dynamics, and PPG position.

Work with other team members to lead process. Support overall business strategy processes.

Market Assessment: improve knowledge-base of market landscape including segmentation of market, opportunities for coatings, current competitive landscape, and current PPG business and position within the region.

You will be a monitor and evaluate industry and competitor developments, marketing actions, products, position, strengths and weaknesses to anticipate competitor response to SBU projects.

Analyze competitors’ offerings and position the PPG offerings to succeed.

Working with the commercial teams, achieve regional sales and profit contribution targets.

Work with the Global Segment Manager to ensure agreement to global strategies.

Provide in-depth support for regions to identify and pursue opportunities, ensuring training and selling tools relevant to their segments are available and deployed.

Increase growth of advantaged product sales in the segment regionally.

You will ensure coverage of main accounts in segment and advise in negotiation of regional contracts.

Provide regional pricing guidance for select global products.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, chemistry, business, or a related degree.

At least 5 years’ experience in strategy, marketing, engineering, or sales within the chemical industry.

Knowledge of Protective & Marine Coatings Techniques.

Proficiency in gathering and analyzing market intelligence. Assemble and organize multiple sources of into a clear market assessment.

Exposure to regional business dynamics implementation of required activities across the region.

Fluent English.
