Job Description Summary
As a Regional Controller working for Taylor Morrison you will be responsible for working alongside the Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller, to lead the corporate accounting function as it relates to the divisions, prepare and review the monthly and quarterly financial statements, establish and maintain accounting policy across the organization, and provide support to the SEC reporting function.

We trust that as a Regional Controller you will: (responsibilities)
- Preparing and reviewing monthly and quarterly financial statements generated by OneStream
- Ensuring compliance with Finance policy at the division level
- Assist Field Finance in best practices for divisions
- Analyzing changes in account balances to ensure financial statements are complete, accurate, and in accordance with GAAP
- Contribute and support SEC reporting by providing and preparing key financial reporting notes, MD&A, statements, etc
- Implementation of new accounting guidance across the organization, including new disclosures for SEC reporting
- Technical accounting and disclosure research for potential and actual significant and non-routine transactions
- Assist Corporate Controller in corporate monthly financial close process
- Assist CAO with key reports and presentations
- Manage accounting for debt, interest, bonus accruals, leases, and other corporate accounting areas
- Assist in the maintenance of internal controls documentation related to corporate financial reporting and accounting to ensure compliance with SOX
- Collaborate with Corporate Controller to identify areas of improvement in accounting and reporting
- Direct supervision of senior and staff accountants including professional development of senior(s) and/or staff.
- Coordination and assistance provided to Corporate Controller and CAO in managing external audit
- You are willing to perform other duties as assigned
There will also be opportunities to partner with other departments on certain projects, project manage key opportunities (i.e. OneStream, acquisition integration and diligence, financial reporting improvements).

About you:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or MBA, active CPA candidacy acceptable
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 7+ years of experience, preferably in the homebuilding, land development and/or construction industry
- Experience with finance and accounting systems
- Prior experience managing and training accounting/finance personnel
- Computer literacy, including excellent Excel skills

Will have responsibilities such as:
- Office or non-manual work, which is directly related to management or general business operations
- Act as a primary component of which involves the exercise of independent judgment and discretion about matters of significance

Physical Demands:
- Must be able to able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time
- The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
