Within Food Service Business in Iberia, McCain is the leader in the frozen potato category and your primary role, as Sales Representative, is to manage some distributors and end users in your specific area.
Job purpose:
As Regional Account Manager (Aragon and Lerida and Tarragona region) your objective will be to develop sustainable profitable growth, optimizing volume, turnover and profitability within your area. With the support of your Regional Manager, you will develop the appropriate action plans for your customers. These action plans should be aligned with the strategy which your Regional Manager set up.
You will be responsible for the results of your region, implementing the best strategy which should be in line with the European one in terms of volume, net sales, gross profit and product mix, and ensuring its execution.
You will directly manage the distributor of your region, with the support of your Regional Manager who will be highly involved in the most relevant ones.
You will directly manage the main local end users of your region. Lead management will be part of your daily job.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing, maintain and share with the team a good level of knowledge about market, customers and competitors
  • Have a deep knowledge, understanding and control of your area, distributors, end users and product mix
  • Identifying and explore potentials for development (new customers, new distributors, new trends...)
  • Developing a strong relationships and partnership with your customers
  • Implementing the action plan defined with your Regional Manager in the most efficient way
  • Understanding the customer needs and work internally to propose the best solution to each of them
  • Manage the distributors of your area with high independence level, negotiating with them, creating and implementing the best actions plans in order to maximize sales volume and profit
  • Managing the product portfolio, ensuring that our product mix is aligned with our strategy
  • Ensure with all department of the company the correct execution of customer's agreements (product, quality, service level, invoicing, claims...)
  • Being in contact and stablish strong relationships with other departments as Supply Chain, AR, marketing, etc. in order to fully manage your region and customers in the best way possible
  • Being responsible for motivating the distributor sales force to be focused and aligned with our strategy
  • Work daily with financial metrics to understand and analyse what is behind the results of the area/customer/product in order to implement the best actions plans
  • Executing plan and activity reports on a daily basis with relevant information
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data to ensure we identify what's working / not working and make recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Transferring your action plan with customers into our CRM tool (SalesForce)
  • Implementing marketing activities to support the business development
  • Following and supporting the digitalization plan
  • Good daily management of leads following time and way of working set up by the company
  • Participate in transversal or international projects when required
  • Demonstrating commitment to deliver agreed targets
  • Constant communication with the manger
  • Demonstrating autonomy where appropriate


About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • At least 1 year of professional experience in Sales
  • Experience in Food Service sector will be valued
  • Expert in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Good digital skills, and analytic skills
  • Good understanding of a P&L and financial metrics
  • Understanding of food service trends, market dynamics, and customer preferences will be valued
  • Experience in sales CRM systems like Salesforce and data systems like PowerBI will be valued
  • Good level in English & Spanish native is required
  • Driving license
  • Availability for travelling on a regular basis
  • Highly engaged and result driven
  • Collaborative and pragmatic approach with a courageous and curious appetite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a passion for driving business growth and exceeding targets.
