We have an excellent opportunity for an R&D Innovation Chef Manager to make a difference in our International R&D organization here at Kraft Heinz! Your role will act as an essential driver and leader within the 'International Consumer & Culinary Experience' team, working alongside passionate culinary chefs and consumer scientists striving to achieve ambitious goals. It includes leading as well as providing consultation and recommendations for all culinary activities on your assigned categories to all levels of the R&D organization. You'll be working within high performing R&D teams, reporting into the R&D Innovation Chef Lead, closely collaborating with cross-functional colleagues and external business partners. This position lies within the International Growth organization in our R&D Center in Nijmegen in The Netherlands. You will be the culinary voice for Taste Elevation and Ready meals international platforms.
Key Ingredients:

  • Team management of Innovation chef's direct reports and coaching of junior chefs. Managing culinary resources, ensuring the team's growth, success, and work/life balance.
  • Design and implement a culinary strategy to deliver best in class culinary experience with our core product offerings to our customers and their consumers on defined product categories. This includes anticipating business needs and being first on the market.
  • Lead and roll out our international culinary activation program. Partnering with Growth Organizations CI, Marketing, R&D and Sales.
  • Advocate the culinary ESG mentality on nutritional awareness- combined with culinary expertise and creativity
  • Elevate culinary activities to the next level, including the development of superior gold standards that will be the reference for the development of future winning products for KH.
  • Use culinary insights & trend data for the inspiration for innovation projects, engaging cross-functional teams via virtual or in-person sessions.
  • Proactively bring in new culinary driven business opportunities towards the team and business
  • Partner with the local teams (Zones Chef, R&D and Marketing teams) on projects with strong business impact to ensure growth in the categories you lead.
  • Be an active member of the global KHC chefs network community- sharing trends- recipe ideas- and building best practice capabilities.
  • Network with culinary trendsetters with culinary professionals, culinary organizations, and institutes.


Recipe for Success: Apply if it sounds like you

  • Culinary degree (i.e. Certificates from hospitality school- apprenticeship- Bachelor's diploma or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years' work experience (international or specific region) in a restaurant (applicable channels: hotels- FSR- QSR- pubs- catering)
  • 4+ years' experience in a corporate R&D environment is expected (FMCG)
  • Must be excellent in communication/presentation with strong storytelling skills required for effective data presentation and business influence based on results.
  • Strong generalized knowledge and experience of an innovation kitchen and testing methodologies including digital agility.
  • Experience with Agile working is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills (organization, prioritization and flexibility).
  • Excellent English language skills- spoken and written
  • Must demonstrate an enthusiastic passion for food and the Kraft Heinz portfolio
  • Strong problem solving and attention to detail skills
  • Strong consultation and influencing capability
  • Ability to simplify complex data analysis to actionable, easy to understand insights.
